While patiently waiting for a volume 2 of the Beethoven piano variations. I hope it will be coming soon as I can hardly wait to hear his take on the 32 Variations in c minor....

My favorite Variationen für Klavier WoO 80 c-moll (32 Var. über ein eigenes Thema) as played by Wilhelm Kempff is found in this set.

Delphic - Acolyte. Currently working my way through, and rating, every new issue I bought last year so I can come up with a definitive top 10 or 20 for 2010. This will probably be in there somewhere, although this process could take some time! Eek

I really dig it, think Lontano posted it first. On David Sylvian's label.

I think it is a superb album - it is the kind of music that really interests me, experimental, ambient, electronics, Scandinavian - more soundscapes than tunes - plus sounds amazing on a good system. Jan Bang has appeared on two ECM albums - Arve Henriksen and Jon Hassell.

Fully agree with you, it didn't quite come together for me on the ECM appearances, but this is an amazing album that captured me from beginning to end.
