Paul Lewis' Beethoven sonata cycle is a grower. I was initially slightly disappointed by Paul's tendency to round off notes, similar to Brendel, but more velvety. However, repeated listening shows a wealth of subtle colors, a good dynamic range and plenty of individual touches.

"Shangri La" Mark Knopfler, first on vinyl and then on CD. The latter sounds much thinner somehow - even Mrs K commented on the difference!

 On Vinyl....Chris De Burgh did some great music in his earlier career and this was one of them. When he had a big hit with The Lady In Red it all went down hill.......I bloody hate that song
