Only 2 discs of 9 into this box set.  I really, really like this.  These are live recordings (from the Semperoper in Dresden, 2010/2011).  Recording quality is top notch and performance too is extraordinary.  Buchbinder has performed the complete Sonatas more than 40 times over the past three decades.

 

I may be personally biased here as Buchbinder holds a special place for me as I believe it was his Beethoven recordings in the 70's which were my first recorded exposure to these works.  I really like   his phrasing and overall vision of Beethoven's architecture.  A smart, no nonsense player.
