I just checked Diverse Vinyl and they have a Single 10" LP & CD release on 26 Sept.

This is from the US, so don't know if there will be a standard 12" format, thicker vinyl etc. I'd be inclined to wait.
Some unhappy folk who purchased the Special Addition on Amazon...
See comment "Vinyl is unprotected in the box set. Rendered unplayable"
Thanks for the info, interesting, I tend to agree with you and will wait a while, thanks.
Lontano, sounds like I will have to give People Music a visit and have a look what they have. They are not too far from me, thanks.
By coincidence I received an email from these people today:

Now this old double vinyl.
One of the very best albums of the 80s - it showed the world that Sword and Sorcery were not dead, they just smelt funny.
I remember when I heard this for the first time as I'd just finished hanging a Roger Dean poster on the wall.

Personal note: should buy the album with First taste
Doug,
Do you have this music?
Johann Sebastian Bach's own instructions written at the beginning of Book 1, Das Wohltemperierte Klavier:
...,for the use and benefit of inquisitive young musicians and for the special diversion of those already well-versed in this study,...
I have countless recordings of Bach. Many storm through works and impress with speed and slick delivery. This is OK from time to time but as I age I find I grow weary of this high energy "performing." In these keyboard works, Bach never specified tempo nor did he write in dynamics. Like with much in Bach, he left this up to the choice and intelligence of the player. A large degree of latitude is granted under the condition that you are simply engaged in finding the magic behind the notes.
Twenty years ago I may not have even had the patience to listen to this recording. Today, with much water gone under the bridge, I find this simply engaging. This is what time does as it slowly erodes away the carefree, devil-may-care youthfulness and forms more distinct patterns, thoughts and ideas in the landscape. But then again, twenty or thirty years ago I simply was learning notes (even though I thought otherwise).
Andrei Vieru should be commended for this is a real recording. Nothing puffed up and pompous but simply unadorned music making-simply alone with an instrument the way it was intended. Again, I find the slowness comforting and reassuring. Without a doubt, this is how one should learn these simply to really get a solid feel for the structure and lines and how to play with clarity.
Just my humble opinion of course but realistically this recording would probably not fair well for many or from a mainstream viewpoint and I just say thankfully so.
