Hi Lloydy!
This I think (so i'm not really sure) this is PB’s debut album (?)
It’s a very classy studio take of nothing but really nice jazz trio songs, the mood and tempo changes from track to track and the studio take can give an unkind dead-pan feel in places but it’s still very pleasurable, sometimes relaxing, sometimes stimulating, but with a wonderful taste of what comes in her later albums.
As much as I love PB’s other albums, I merely like this one quite a lot, although 'Split' is still new to me and probably a grower.
But i happen to know you’re well smitten with her music, so (like me) you really should consider collecting all her albums, and after all... our collections won't be complete without all of 'em

I'm going "Live - a Fortnight in France" next methinks! So much to buy and so little time!

Weird and wonderful and beautifully sung by the magnificent Annie Haslam.
The album is remarkable for the orchestration with virtually every instrument being played by the album's producer: Mr Roy (Move/ELO) Wood - who is a Wizzard guy, Who also did the cover art in his spare time.
On the black stuff.

It is just you - Annie Haslam looks nothing like Basil Brush. Is that Roy Wood with Basil?
Steve - I wasn't aware of Annie & Ron being Mr & Mrs
