Eskar Trio from Denmark

Charlotte Thaning (piano)

Julie Eskar (violin)

Emilie Eskar (cello)

Exceptional in every way, these three are!  The most listened to album at my house over the past two weeks.  But for me, there are not too many things better than the chamber music of Brahms.

My only version of the trios.

My working environment has become increasingly stressful with the noise of machinery and too many ear biting radios blasting out different broadcasts of pop music (mostly the kind of pop music that is very unpopular in my music collection).

So i prepare myself with relaxation listening, it's great being eclectic but sedately civilised classical music is the way to go before a shift and a great way to unwind after!

Re: playing CD 10 - Jean-Philip Rameau…

recordings from the 1940's but very good actually!

Yes, it's working... i'm a lot calmer now : )

Last segue Rush Arcade Fire R.E.M. and the Ventures excellent. Now Victoria - Kinks.

Cover art - Rodney Matthews or Roger Dean?

Thanks

steve

Neither i'm afraid the cover art was done by Arik Roper. Have a look at his web site for more art work. Very much like Roger Dean.

Thanks for that.

On CD expanded version:-

Original album must have been one of the most complete albums ever made IMO, all tracks perfectly mix together. Most tracks were written at different times but they seem as if they all in the concept at the outset

3 bonus live tracks a very good too.
