Having just watched the excellent Songwriters Circle (BBC) episode, with Neil Finn, Janis Ian and Ryan Adams, and hearing Ryan Adams for the first time, I've just got into discovering this "new to me" artist via his first two albums, Heartbreaker and Gold, respectively.

Worth a listen

(Mind you, I wish I could find some solo acoustic material from Neil Finn, such as performed on the show!)

Reality, we watched Songwriters Circle, and have say RA left me completely cold he seemed fussy and not very tuneful compared to the other 2. YMMV

EJ

Yes, I listen to it quite often (my first disc of Fray).

You should try his Bach keyboard concertos to compare with your Tharaud:

Playing now. What do you think Dave?

Dennis,

This is definitely a progression from the first album, only on my second listen. Further listening will reveal more.
