Here's a man who should be feted but sadly isn't (on vinyl from 1967)

I have the La-Di-Dah collection by Jake - sort of greatest hits.

Excellent guitarist and very talented song writer

A recent acquisition. I love Eva Marton, but she is an acquired taste, an inherently beautiful voice which develops a nasty wobble when pushed loud - as it frequently is. Studer and Lipovsek are very good, Weikl not a favorite of mine. Sawallisch does a grand job bringing out the lyric qualities of this score, which frequently is more shouted than sung.

EMI is rapidly building its 'home of opera' series in this format, with full libretto on a separate disc or download from their website.

Cheers,

EJ

Limited edition heavyweight black stuff.

Would love to hear his brother doing the vocals of this.

Noel does a good job and its his album.

 But it would be interesting??
