Thanks for this Jeff. I've seen/heard a couple of songs on YT and will add to my list.

Here's a review of a gig they did @ Union Chapel, London, with support from The Staves (their debut album, produced by Ethan Johns, is out on Atlantic early next year).

The Staves - http://breakingmorewaves.blogs...taves-new-waves.html More on YT of course and a must buy IMHO.

Hi Denis

That was my first listen to The Civil Wars (on Spotify).  It is very good but a very quiet, slow album.  Not "good" for all occasions but when in the mood, just perfect.

I have noticed your comments on The Staves.  Yesterday I did some exploring but find nothing available to me on Spotify or Amazon, at this time.  Most anything produced by Ethan Johns will get my attention rather quickly, at least initially.  That family (Johns) has contributed an immense amount of quality to my musical listening life.

I will be staying up to date on Staves info.

thanks, be well.

Still prefer the 10th Anniversary Classic Records gold CD over the 20th Anniversary Cisco gold CD. However, the Cisco makes for a great budget alternative.
