Despite an abundance of excellent classical recordings this year, this one might be the number 1 for me. Hewitt's poised playing is exactly right for these early-mature Mozart works, and finally here's an orchestra with an almost symbiotic bond with the soloist, the first to rival the English Chamber Orchestra's collaboration with Perahia.
