On Spotify:-

My second listen , but really I can't find anything good to say about this bland album. Singing style is not my bag , sounds like he is straining even at this modest range. As I said before Adge Cutler.

I guess I must have been in a bad mood both times, still that saves me a few quid.

I'll not be giving the Kate Bush another listen either. Dirge.

Maybe you should have a listen to the vinyl version as it is brilliant.

Thought I'd put it on at the wrong speed, and could have done without a ten minute intro to first 'song' (who writes these lyrics?). Woken up by a couple of shouty tracks punctuated by strange noises, ok-ish title track (more noises), repeat of first track (have they only written FOUR SONGS in two years?). Then they just make it up as they go along for ages and I fell asleep again.

This guy is on his way to becoming a legend (excuse the hyperbole).  I have worn out (can you do that to digital?) both House of Balloons and Thursday and can't wait for Echoes of Silence which must be comong soon now (judging by the photos on his Tumblr i think the cover art is done).

Also, loving the other selections, Lone, the Field, etc.  Just been listening to Walls 'Coracle' on kompakt which is excellent, and now am listening back to 2562 in the mix for benji b on the iPlayer app on the iPad.  get in!

Reubs, slooow reply after a hectic few days here. I had a feeling you might have been listening to The Weeknd this year - House Of Balloons in particular is pretty amazing. I love the overall feel of it, helped in no small part by the whole XO design aesthetic - all for something that hasn't even had a physical release.

I had a look for Coracle, and luckily enough, Walls have put it on SoundCloud, so I've had it on a couple of times since I saw your post:

Sounds very Kompakt, which is always a good thing, right?! Cheers, CC

I look forward to seeing your 2011 choices. I need more music like this Felt album, so let me know if there is anything else I should be hearing. I bought his Wintermusik album also. You can just hear so much atmosphere in the "Felt" recording. Perfect dark room/late night music.

Not one for BigH to try though .......

I played this in the car earlier and my 11 year old asked me to put it on his computer for him to listen to - seems he is developing an interesting musical taste!

Adrian,

I was the first person to post about this album on here a few months ago.

Told the uk and world she was on the radio.

Brilliant album.

Hope you like it?
