Similar vibe to the Walls album; a sort of ambient wash, with eaks and troughs.  There is also one track that sounds remarkably similar to Star Guitar by the Chemical Brothers, but much less 'rave'

Hi reubs, Yes, I have it in my iTunes after it was released as a free d/l about a month ago. Not really feeling it, to be honest.

What do you think about the album? Hearing it earlier for the first time in a while, it reminded me of the (so-called) summer, when I played it loads. I really like how it nearly all sounds the same - I think some people would call that 'boring'. : )

I really am struggling to get this of the turntable other than to turn it over and listen to the other side. Stupendously good.

Two BBC in Concert Sessions from Atomic Rooster introduced by the late great John Peel.

Crane DuCann Palmer from 1970 is good - especially Carl on the drums

Crane DuCann Hammond from 1971 suffers from dreadful SQ.

Wow... Boesch doesn't have the biggest or most beautiful voice around, but this is one intense and very classy Winterreise! By the end, Der Leiermann, Boesch is almost crooning his lines - fitting after 23 songs that take all your energy and give nothing back but depression and gloom. I have to be in the mood, but this is Schubert at his best!
