Re Meredith Brooks.........Wikipedia says that she had to close her set opening for the stones after bottles were thrown at the stage, two songs in. This may be where the story started. After that it is the typical story of legal/label issues which is very sad.

There are many fine recordings of Chopin's waltzes. Kovacevich may be an outsider in this field, but this is a sensitive, alert performance.

Picked this up for $2 at a local vinyl shop.

I never listened to Japan in late 70's/early 80's, but the record caught my eye because Richard Barbieri (of Porcupine Tree) was the keyboard player. Anyway, it's a Virgin (French) pressing #60030. An acquired taste, perhaps, some of it reminds me of Roxy Music, but maybe more somber? A pleasant surprise -- very high sound quality -- in fact, one of the cleanest sounding records I have ever bought.

I have a copy too, and mine is also 'very quiet vinyl', and fantastic music, my favourite Japan album.

Well done for finding and buying for $2 ! : )
