Nautilus 1/2 Speed Superdisc LP
How is this and Red Velvet Car compared to Little Queen?
HighFid3lity - I am a huge 'Heart' fan and my all time favorite will always be 'Dreamboat Annie' but whilst I do have 'Little Queen' I haven't played it much. I will play it asap and report back.
Gordon
Hello Gordon,
I just put 'Dreamboat Annie' on the orderlist, so will find out next year

Up next. I am looking forward to his new album which should be out in Feb I believe.

That's good news. I'm playing it again as I type - the first two tracks are tremendous.

WOW - had to play it again it's that good - recommended.
Karl
have you got the CD or Vinyl?
Both are available, but the vinyl is expensive (for my budget anyway)
Just having a free sample on spotify... sounds very good
Debs
Just finished listening to it again, this time on my prototype TT/brand new cartridge/homebrew phonostage, so yes it's on vinyl (Speakers Corner's re-issue). I can't comment on the CD version but I won't be giving up my black gold copy in a hurry.
At the moment the following is spinning and sounding wonderful -
A Classic Records re-issue,it's first airing and well worth the extra cost over the CD equivalent(IMO- well you do get a nice cover )
Yours in vinyl heaven,
Karl
PS Do you pay for Spotify?

Haven't played this for ages!
This is the only recording I have of Robert Cray - something I need to amend in view of the number of times this LP gets played.

Saw this lot singing on Boxing Day, a scruffy bunch but they can't half carry a tune and the best conductor of a choir that I have seen in donkeys

I do not know of Susumu Yokota?
No problem. Susumu Yokota is an incredibly prolific producer of highly regarded electronic ambient records, and more.
Most posts here about Susumu are fairly old, and I was half-hoping you (or at a guess, Lontano, whizzkid maybe?) could recommend me some of his more recent ambient stuff; and if not, I thought you (and others here) might like the ones I posted, 'Sakura' and 'The Boy and The Tree':
From a review that ticks a few of the right Ballan boxes:
Susumu returns to his beatless musical magic fresh from jamming it with Phillip Glass, anything Afx can do..... 'The Boy and The Tree' offers a wider soundscape to that of the incredible 'Sakura', 'Grinning Cat' and 'Magic Thread' - featuring a world of hypnotic exotic instrumentations all sequenced into Susumu's lushed out compositional skills. Spiritual, graceful, hypnotic, rhythmic and calming. Think Alice Coltrane, Steve Reich, Brian Eno and you can also compare this to Thomas Newman's mesmerising score to the film 'American Beauty'.
Subtle and understated, don't expect to instantly love these albums. They're probably too good for that.
