Having listened to Curtis' Alcina, Deidamia, Floridante, and Rodelinda, I should revise my opinion of Alan Curtis. He's quite good, although especially in Rodelinda he's not always as sharp as he should be. Overall, I found to my surprise that in Handel I actually preferred him to Jacobs and Minkowski. I look forward to his recording of Ariodante with Joyce DiDonato, to be released on Virgin in May this year.

Pat Jennings only played for Arsenal that other team you mention do not exist and have never existed so I'm not sure I understand the quote passage.
