Badge vs. While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Written and recorded, more or less, together. So who got the best song for their album, Eric or George?

Much as I dislike Clapton and love All Things Must Pass, it would have to be Badge, but its probably the best thing Clapton ever did.

I too am a Clapton hater, at least since the 70s, but for me he catches fire on 'Crossroads', give that one another listen.

Oh dear, & he nicked Patti. It's just not right. George was consistently good, unlike Eric. What a name eh?! Eric Big Grin

Well considering it is Eric Clapton playing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps I guess Eric gets it for both. George had the notes down but just couldn't get the right feel in the playing. He was at Eric's and talking about it and invited Eric down to the studio to help him on it. It's mentioned in the Beatles Anthology book. George I understand played on Layla. Don't know if he knew at the time it was about his wife Patti. Strange set of circumstances there.

Life is analogue

Not a fan of EC but Badge gets my vote.

Mentioned this somewhere else but what the hell... If you wan't to hear a pretty amazing version of Badge you should get hold of Robben Ford's latest album.

A notch or two up from EC's original (in my biased opinion)

Still, I've booked tickets for EC in April... he still does a great live concert.
