Greetings Music Lovers

So it seems that the Guardian has got wrong again (as the media usually does) with their attempt at a alternative definitive list of albums to listen to before you die. So its falls to us "real" music lovers to put the record straight (pun intended).

So i think say about 25 entries each, only one from each of your favorite artists is allowed, that means 40 individual posters can participate. So try not to repeat albums but its OK to repeat artists but I'd say it would be better if we could include nearly 1000 different artists and as many different genres as we can. Can we achieve this?

When we finish we can E-mail it to the Guardian and show them the proper way to do it.

I'll start mine in the next post...

Indeed, a steaming storming classic!!!!!!

Who has contributed most to the 1000 list? If there's an unnatural bias towards one member in particular, maybe they could forego one of their suggestions should any new suggestions arise which are agreed by several other members.

I'm very happy to forgo some my suggestions (Candie Payne or Moon or Fairfield Palour [who are really Kaleidoscope in disguise] for example) - if somebody wants to take over list maintenance (please) then I'll suggest a few that could make way. Nobody mentioned Lloyd Cole and the Commotions when Worm and I were compiling the list and I've never heard of them so have no view. Alternatively, perhaps it could replace one of the Paul Brady entries. Over to the new the list maintainer to do the honours Smile

I thought Robert Woj had volunteered to replace the Greatest Hits - maybe I misread your post, Robert - I have written some notes in the thread on how to put the list in Excel.
