Surveillance system for garden bird feeder.

Has anyone any experience and can recommend a cheapish video system to allow us remote viewing of our garden, bird feeders and other animal visitors.
It will shoot through the back doors, so no need for a waterproof solution.
Perhaps the system would be able to store video on the iMac?
