Naim That Speaker

Reading about the SL2 makes me realise that all it really needs is a decent name.

To stop the poor Salisbury chaps calling it something daft (like Allae) I think we should kindly offer to run a competition on the forum to choose a name. They can give a suitble prize (a nice cherry pair) to the winner.

My suggestion. Naims Alternative SBL Audio Loudspeaker. NASAL!

I say stick with SL2. Does that mean if they do I've won a pair ?

SL2 was the name of an early 1990s rave act (Slipmat and Lime) who had a chart hit with "On a Ragga tip". It was a pretty good track too, and sampled the reggae classic "Walk and Skank" by Jah Screechie. Probably best that they think of another name then!

Well we had lots of good suggestions in the previous thread, most of them much better than Allae.

Personally, I'd name them either the Mojo or Volcano (reserving "Big O" for the DBL replacement).

My fee is in the post wink

How about calling the new speaker 552 and appropriately 'naiming' the new pre NAC122 (after Naim come to their senses and bin those RCAs of course).

It will be called the Mcbeal. Naim may send me an XPS in lieu of a pair of McBeals.

The SL2 seems so much better built than McBeal. I mean it has curves and everything!
