How do you play back tracks on Windows 7 media player without a pause between them??!

Hi all,

I don't know if any of you experience this, but when you have a playlist on Windows Media player of tracks that are supposed to blend into each other, there is always a brief pause between each track.

Is there any way of turning this off???

Many thanks for your help!!

Use something else such as songbird Winker

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded Songbird, and regretfully did not like the layout of the application!!

What makes Windows Media Centre good for me is that I can access my PC's music collection via the wireless router to the Xbox.....

....this then outputs to the Naim nDAC, then to the 282, then to the 250.2.....

And I therefore have access to an abundance of music played back at audiophile levels, anything ranging from my CD collection to material downloaded from the Internet.

(This is in theory, as that is what I am TRYING to achieve!!!)

Regards,

Jon

Jon, anything going through your xbox is not audiophile. I would suggest something very cheap such as the new apple tv or apple airport express, this takes the noisy XBOX out of the equation entirely.

When I tried the XBOX for what you are doing it could not handle anything other than MP3, so I hope its improved a bit from that. Never the less, basically a terrible set up for music.

Our kids' Xbox cooling fan sounds like a 747 on takeoff. Not an option for music, regardless of the actual SQ.

Thanks for the advice guys!!

I've gone for the Apple Airport Express at a very reasonable price - which is on its way!!! So cheers.

But this draws me to wonder if one can use their Naim nDAC and the digital source is CD quality and there are technically no moving parts........

.....the sound must out perform the CD555 (considering the NDAC equals its DAC).

Or is that just wishful thinking????!!!

Totally. But it does have digital out so the naim dac can handle the d to the a

You can use your computer to send music to it.
