Modifying a lens for macro. Would you?

I think I'd completely mess this up, and would rather use extension tubes or a proper macro lens anyway!

Would I ??? NO WAY.

Seems like a bored geek with too much thinking time. He would be better off practising Solo Tantric Sex, or get a job & buy a proper macro lens.
