Odd.
Surely she should be named Dr. Divya Kaur.

As a plastic surgeon, music while closing a wound ( i.e. the "brainless" part of the surgery) makes my performance that much better. This is especially important when doing long surgeries (6-12 hours). When the surgery is technically challenging and I am performing the critical part, I do turn the music off to eliminate all distraction.
When it comes to breast enlargement, nose jobs or body sculpting, having the music playing brings out the artist in me which is important to transform grandma into a bay watch beach babe

Do you have any special music for each type of "job".
If you haven't I'm sure the clever bastards round here will have suggestions!

Think I'd be a bit worried as a patient if I heard Brain Damage ...

If that was in the UK they will have the PRS, PLL and various other bodies chasing them for payment of their license fees..

No particular play lists yet, but Diana Krall plays quite a bit.

I just saw Water's The Wall in LA area, amazing show but soooo glad I took ear plugs.
I've had major design and art projects and might start with music but at some point turn it off and focus. Hours go by and don't notice.
I talked with woman who wrote "Drawing on the right side of the Brain". She studied creativity and the brain. She doesn't allow music in her classes because it keeps you in time and doesn't allow you to be free.

"Money"

When I was being connected up by the anesthetists last Thursday afternoon music was playing but I could not see what it was playing on (not a plastic coated DBL) and I was not over interested in what was on - it could be likened to being in the local garage workshop. Chaps in overalls doing a job of work "A little scratch here - did you go any where on holiday this year - yes I went to ........."
