What news as I prepare to go to bed! I won't be able to sleep for excitement.

ROFT,

Must be a relief for you. Not hit the BBC news site yet. Who is in the frame, and who do you think will get it?

Regards

Nic

Duncan Ferguson appointed.

Still, England won 3-1.

I want Paul Mariner as manager, but I understand it is likely to be Paul Jewel.

The other possibility is Chris Houghton.

Rule 1 - don't be a smart arse,

Rule 2 - if making an attempt, don't do it when tired.

Mind, Big Dunc would bring more fight than Darren.

Paul Jewell - which version will Ipswich Town get? Hopefully not the Derby County edition.

Cheers,
OW

And it's goodnight from him...

Maybe it's simply being called Roy

Double act anyone. The two Roys? (Interesting fact: Roy is a derivation of red..)

Who's next .... Roy Ancelotti ???

Nah...The name Carlo derives from "Who the f- would we get to replace him?"

Unless...

I'm glad to see Roy Keane gone as I don't think he brought anything to ITFC. Previous teams have at least tried to play football, but the past couple of seasons have been extremely disheartening.

I thought Lampard's second goal was offside and as the commentators agreed that was really the turning point in the match, as part from the goals and Chelsea's annoying tendency to keep passing to each other when they weren't taking shots at our goal, there was nothing to choose between the sides.

I don't know if it was all down to Roy, but all our best players were on loan and have all gone - the decent permanent players were sold. Clegg doesn't impress at all. It looks pretty bleak, but we've bounced back before and could do it again - I hope.

It's Paul Jewell.

Quite.

As long as he gets us to a good start by winning the Carling Cup and we force our way up the Championship then that'll do me.

Still first things first and a settled team with good players coming through as is our tradition would be an excellent first move.
