Amazon tell me "Dr No" has been despatched. Perhaps the other 2 Connery ones needed to round it out!.

Two??!! You mean "other four"...
Goldfinger
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds are Forever
Still at BOGOF, it's not going to hurt too much... I would be interested to see some of the later ones and whether the improvements make such a big difference.

Doh! For some reason I always forget those last two. Still, at BOGOF I guess it has to be done! We were amazed at the visual and audio quality of FRWL. I route TV and DVD through my 282/SC/200 and it sounds great in my admittedly quite small room.

The Ascent of Man - one DVD an evening and a reminder of how intelligent television once was.
Unlike the producers, who worried about too much of Bronowski talking to camera, I found it was the man and his passion for intellectual curiosity and discovery that remained freshest of all the content.
Absolutely wonderful computer simulations - a roomfull of humming equipment to make the double helix rotate on a mono screen. Plus lots of Pink Floyd.

Michael Mann's 'Ali'. Will Smith does pretty good impression of the great man, sorry i meant THE greatest sportsman ever.
"I shook up the world, I shook up the world!"
He certainly did.

Watched 'The House of Sand and Fog' last night. Top notch but bleak drama, with a typical Ben Kingsley performance. Not to be watched if you are already feeling a bit miserable!
