I like most films with Morgan Freeman in but this was rather average. I knew it wasn't that gripping as I watched it over two nights.

'Forbidden Planet' - what a great film!
Watched 'Eden Lake' last night - quite a harrowing watch in the 'Deliverance' vein, but substitute the inbred country folk of Appalachia country with Northern English yobs.
I also think it's influenced by Haneke's film 'Funny Games' which also presents a relentless harrowing of a middle class couple holidaying on the lakeside. The violence is very realistic and therefore more disturbing than your average gore fest horror movie. But it still has plenty of quality to go with the violence.
regards,
mat

Forbidden Planet a great film, with a serious Leslie Nielson and (one of) the first soundtracks to use electronic sounds.

3 nights of Black Books. Liked the first and third discs best but a pleasure to catch up on this strangely unremembered favourite.
As an aside - I watched tonight, for reasons I am not prepared to share, through sunglasses and can't entirely recommend it.
It did, however, give me some passing insight into what life must be like for Mr Bono. Not all enviable I discovered.

Goodbye Mr Chips.
Nostalgic nonsense I am sure, but still has some value for someone like me ...

Last night I watched The T Gillam version of the Brothers Grim - it was too!
Night before I watched Mystic river, great film but sad.
Tonight I'm going to watch Don't Mess with the Zohan. love the concept so I hope it works!
Tomorrow it's Tropic Thunder on BR (if it arrives from Amazon).

I've watched it a few months ago. Wonderful movie with great acting and breathtaking visuals.
Last night: The Dark Knight. A major movie obviously!

Yes. I thought it was an amazing film; the real sign of this being that I didn't really understand it! Can you explain it to me?!
But seriously I was glad I watched it and Aronofsky can do no wrong in my eyes. I probably need to watch it again though.

Well, the interesting point in this movie is to watch it again so you can make your own idea about what's happening! I've got mine but I wouldn't like to post any spoiler here
