I've watched it a few months ago. Wonderful movie with great acting and breathtaking visuals.

Last night: The Dark Knight. A major movie obviously!

Yes. I thought it was an amazing film; the real sign of this being that I didn't really understand it! Can you explain it to me?!

But seriously I was glad I watched it and Aronofsky can do no wrong in my eyes. I probably need to watch it again though.

Well, the interesting point in this movie is to watch it again so you can make your own idea about what's happening! I've got mine but I wouldn't like to post any spoiler here

Good tunes on top of a well shot film....

agh can't stand 'The Birdcage' another unnecessary Hollywood remake - 'La Cage aux Folles' is the one you should watch (if you haven't) - sorry FlyMe

If you look further up the page you will see I have! I read a comment somewhere how much better The Bird Cage was then La Cage aux Folles. I thought the writer must be mad - so I watched them both on consecutive evenings. My memory did not deceive me - La Cage aux Folles is in a different league to the Hollywood re-make which I agree is such a poor imitation of a wonderful original.

God I must be blind! Apologies

Yes and I met someone who thought the remake was better than the original - I was lost for words.
I always remember watching La Cage aux Folles late one night on BBC2 years ago and it had me rolling around in hysterics. The remake simply had me cringing in embarrassment at Robin Williams.

Not a cheery-uppy sort of film, but compulsive viewing nevertheless. Shane Meadows top filmaker!

Continuing a camp theme....

Colditz Story, followed by Brief Encounter.

ATB from George

The Madness Of King George.

I have enjoyed this film many times. Never ge tited of something good.

ATB from George

Psycho.

Just as terrifying in the bulding of tension as the last time I saw it nearly thirty yeras ago.

Not one for a regular view i susopect!

Mama Mia on Bluray....

That was one good movie! Although I was pushed to buy it by my mother I found it thoroughly enjoyable. The music is wonderful, but what struck me more was the visual beauty in the film. The colors, the shots, the scenery were all fascinating. It is a movie that pumps some life into your veins. Very needed indeed

Mrs Willy took the wains off to see the Kaiser Chefs last night so I watched "The Searchers" on BluRay and "Battle of the River Plate" on DVD. Drank lots of beer, ate everything sweet in the house, followed by everything savoury in the fridge. Slept like a lamb.

Willy.

Bit of a theme developing here.

A couple of days ago:

Pulp Fiction.

I can see why it so well regarded, and I mosrtly enjoyed it. Perhaps not as much as I had hoped, but its brilliance is obvious. Glad to have seen it, even if it is not one I would buy on DVD now.

ATB from George

Jeff Dunham - ventriloquist. Very creative and very very funny.

Disgusting and quite indecent, i bet Mrs. Whitehouse had a few overstuffed moral tantrums over this film when it came out in 1969!

I rather enjoyed it! : )

nymph

The pianist - a wonderful film by Roman Polanski, but not the funniest.

One of the few italian movies that came out lately worth to have.
With the great Toni Servillo
