CD5+highcap vs CDX without XPS?

Is the CDX w/o XPS markedly and decicively better than the DC5+highcap to warrant changing my cd5+highcap in the months to come.

The CDX is definitely better than CD5/Hi. Not only that, but you can add the XPS later, whereas the CD5/Hi is a dead-end (unless you Super-Cap it, which would be silly).

Did the demo a month ago and bought a cd5 / hi cap as it sounded a bit richer . CDX with an xps is a different proposition altogether but can't afford it .
p.s. Bought a shed load of cds with the money "saved" as I was expecting to buy a cdx .

My usual comment - do as I did and get CDX/CDPS gets you well down the road to XPS for much less money (S/H 600UKP or less). Make sure it has modded Burndy cable.
