Alex,
The Box was a 12" by Jack of Swords.
I have it on the vinyl, It doesn't appear on any on the SoP compilations.
As I remember it (Can't find it at the mo') it is a pretty straight redition of the old Velvets 'The Gift', as read by John Cale

Thanks for the tip, I keep a look out.
I have bought some fairly ropey Hawkwind live albums, so it is useful to get views on them.

I guess most of the live Hawkwind albums are for the diehard Hawkwind fanatics - err, guess that includes me. The best (widely available) live album remains Space Ritual (on vinyl of course).
Live '79 happened to be the first Hawkwind album I ever bought ... now I appear to have most of their catalogue.
The Business Trip Live is decently (by Hawkwind standards) recorded and although mixed in terms of quality has some very mellow synth based tracks.
Avoid Live in Nottingham because the sound quality is poor although there is a standout version of Ejection on it.
The Yule Ritual which is relatively recent is worth getting your hands on - it has a monster version of Sonic Attack recited by Michael Moorcock via a telephone link. Tim Blake guests with a version of Lighthouse.
Palace Springs is worth it alone for the version of Damnation Alley.
A mention should also be made for Canterbury Fayre/Love in Space/Live Chronicles - I guess these are better suited to the fanatic but nonetheless worthwhile additions. The latter two appear particularly sought after on Ebay.

Not my last purchase, but the last spin on the table:
Doolittle-by the Pixies...awesome dude!
My name is taken from lowest region of the world, a dank, gloomy pit, surrounded by a wall of bronze, and beyond that a three-fold layer of night; it is one of the first entities to exist in the universe; primarily the prison for defeated gods and a place of punishment for sinners-just like my sense of humour!

Joss Stone, The Soul Sessions.
Been wanting this for a while and wasnt disapointed. Doubt it will go down as a classic, but she has got a good voice. needs stronger material if she is to fullfill her potential.

Porcupine Tree - Signify 2LP set (ordered today from the PT Store)
The Kinks - The Village Green Preservation Society (from Grahams Hi-Fi)
Reviews after Kit returns from re-capping & rub down with the sporting life
Porcupine Tree Note:
The next release in the series will be a triple vinyl version of The Sky Moves Sideways with a bonus 7 inch single containing two versions of "Men of Wood" in it's own picture sleeve. This should be issued over the Summer (maybe June).
