Just clicked 'buy' on a couple of pieces of vinyl and am now awaiting delivery of....:

Probot - self titled album by Dave Grohl (foo fighters, nirvana) where he collaborates with lots of (to me) ace metal vocalists, on tracks he's written with the singer in mind. Said vocalists include: Cronos (Venom), Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Sepultura), Lemmy (Motorhead), Mike Dean (Corrosion of Conformity), Kurt Brecht (DRI), Lee Dorrian (Cathedral, Napalm Death), Wino (St. Vitus, Obsessed, Spirit Caravan, Place of Skulls), Tom G. Warrior(Celtic Frost /Apollyon Sun), Snake (Voivod), Eric Wagner (Trouble), King Diamond (Mercyful Fate).

Death Angel - 'The Art of Dying'. Bay Area thrashers return with their first new studio album since 1990's 'Act III'.

It's like I'm 15 again!

I just bought "Laid" by James. One of my fave albums. I'm rediscovering my turntable, courtesy of my lovely 82, this now has me buying vinyl of cds I already have "just to see". Quelle volte face. The pressing is from Simply Vinyl (dot com) and is very high quality indeed. They seem to have quite a catalogue, and Grahams hi-fi in North London is a good source. But I expect you all knew that...
(I am a "lapsed" and recently reconverted hi-fi person)

I just played "The Sensual World" by Kate Bush, having been an enormous fan in my youth. A lovely record.

Yo La Tengo--And Then Nothing. Just listened to the first record--pretty good. No surprises if you've heard any of their stuff, which is not say it sounds the same as their other stuff....

Lucinda Williams--World Without Tears. This is pretty good!
