Perhaps you could update the forum in how you get on with a US source.
Thanks

The problem is in the shipping cost: insured it's about $25 and uninsured it's $14.

Oh U Want More - Ty feat. Roots Manuva

I’ve been streaming tracks of Ty’s album for ages, but I’ve been put off buying it ‘cos I want the vinyl version with the remix on it. Well, I gave up trying, and just bought the 12″ instead. The revox version of the collab with RM is the best track, with a fairground stall organ driving a thick beat. If we have a summer, this should be the sound of it, despite it coming out in spring.

Last purchase: Decca monos of Stones first few, Parlophone black/yellow monos of Beatles, and Pye monos of Kinks. Which reminds me, if anyone has, or knows of a good source for any of the above in mint type condition, email me and tell me how to contact them, or what the sale price might be. thanks

HFNRR's test record, about 5 years ago. Before that, goodness only knows but it was in about 1986. I bought my first CD player in 1985, and since the CD repertoire expanded appropriately, I have bought no more vinyl (but I still have all my old stuff).

Dan, -- 5 cents! Didn't you try to talk them down a bit?

It turns out that Amphetamine Reptile (one of the greatest independent labels of the '90s, in case you don't know them) still has a fair bit of their back-catelogue on LP for $8.50 (their website says $9, but I was charged $8.50). So anyway, mini buying spree:

Chokebore: Motionless
Cosmic Psychos: Oh What a Lovely Pie (worth it for the cover alone)
Cows: Cunning Stunts
Dog Bullies: God Show
Hammerhead: Duh, the Big City
Helios Creed: Boxing the Clown
Servotron: Spare Parts
Tar: Jackson

(Also got two of their "Dope, Guns, and Fucking in the Streets" comps on CD.)

Other recent LP purchases:

Stiff Little Fingers: Hanx
The Aggrovators: Johnny in the Echo Chamber
Pere Ubu: Dub Housing
The Dead C.: White House (bit of a disappointment)
Scrawl: Smallmouth
Meat Puppets: Mirage
Cherubs/Fuckemos (split 7"; completes my Cherubs collection)
To Rococo Rot: Veiculo (inspired by David Slater's mention)
Guided by Voices: Earthquake Glue

My latest vinyl purchases:

Magnet / Wighnogy Bros - Kisskisskiss / Wurz+Blosse

Dave Brock - Earthed to the Ground
[Following the Hawkwind interest]

Dom & Roland - Dance All Night / Just so you know

Dom & Roland - Dance All Night (Calyx Remix) / Freak Seen

Pendle Coven - Trig Point EP
[featuring a Claro Intelecto remix]
