Oh U Want More - Ty feat. Roots Manuva
I’ve been streaming tracks of Ty’s album for ages, but I’ve been put off buying it ‘cos I want the vinyl version with the remix on it. Well, I gave up trying, and just bought the 12″ instead. The revox version of the collab with RM is the best track, with a fairground stall organ driving a thick beat. If we have a summer, this should be the sound of it, despite it coming out in spring.

- Olinga - Milt Jackson (CTI)
- Rollins Plays for Bird - Sonny Rollins (Prestige reissue)
- The Best of Wayne Shorter - Shoter (Blue Note reissue)
- Jazz Concert - George Shearing Quintet (capital) (never heard of this)
Listening to 'Somethin' Else' now - sounds great!

It turns out that Amphetamine Reptile (one of the greatest independent labels of the '90s, in case you don't know them) still has a fair bit of their back-catelogue on LP for $8.50 (their website says $9, but I was charged $8.50). So anyway, mini buying spree:
Chokebore: Motionless
Cosmic Psychos: Oh What a Lovely Pie (worth it for the cover alone)
Cows: Cunning Stunts
Dog Bullies: God Show
Hammerhead: Duh, the Big City
Helios Creed: Boxing the Clown
Servotron: Spare Parts
Tar: Jackson
(Also got two of their "Dope, Guns, and Fucking in the Streets" comps on CD.)

The Aggrovators: Johnny in the Echo Chamber
