It's fascinating how the British have this pretend aversion to "foul" language.

For as long as I can remember the Beeb has been banning records if there is the slightest chance of giving offense.

In Denmark they play endless records with the "f word", derogatory terms for black poeple (by black people) Drug abuse, sex, humerous homophobia, political incorrectitude are all common on the Danish equvalent of the Beeb.

My wife laughs at the Danish TV's kids pop show. They play pop videos at viewers' request. The boys always ask for the videos with the most cleavage and they are happily played at tea-time. Never mind about the "watershed".

Nude magazines are available at the supermarket checkouts. Usually at kids eye-height. Topless sunbathing is accepted without batting an eyelid.

The last time I heard the Brits have a common interest in sex and porn in their browsing habits with the rest of the world.

Double standards or "dooble entendre" ? Winker
