Nait5 + Fc1 & Nap140

Hello,
Just upgraded the Nait 5 with a second-hand Flatcap1, a much cheaper upgrade than a Flatcap2 but by no means a less worthy one.
Then my dealer lend me a Nap 140 to try at home, since it has been unplugged in the store for sometime i didn’t expect much but during the course of a three day listen, it just got better and better. By comparison I’d say that the Nap140 did everything the Nait+Fc1 did and then more, i totally forgot about it, i felt i was hearing my cd collection for the first time.
I didn’t expect so much from that little box, great upgrade. I haven’t heard the 150 so i can’t compare but this one truly rocks,
a bit more "prat" than the Nait5.

System: Marantz cd63 - Nait5 - Flatcap1 - Epos es11

Your CD player isn't good enough for the rest of the system.

I'm running an old (1988) Nap 140 with my Nait5 as pre, but I don't think there is much difference between the Nait5 Power Amp and the Nap 140. Both sound very good to me.

You've heard his system then?

You seem to have a habit of telling people where their systems are deficient.

cheers

Thank your for your input.
I know that the difference with the Nap140 isn´t earth shattering but i did sense that there was more bass, more mids and highs, or maybe it was just more forthcoming than with the Nait5 alone. I´m no audiophile expert, i just felt it, i could be wrong, i admit i was delighted with the whole experience so my opinion could be a bit biased.
I know my cd isn´t much, but at the time i bought the Nait, there wasn´t a cd5i to consider and the cd5 was out of my league, besides running it through an Audio Innovations Alto, tottaly sucked.

Thanks
