Don't mess around - get it back to Salisbury, either direct or via a dealer.

It's remarkable what Naim are able to do with these older machines. I have a properly refurbished CD3 with a new transport, and my dealer had a Naim refurbished CDI, which sounded nothing like it used to!

With what's been learned down the years, the earthing and other bits and pieces can be substantially upgraded.

It's a fine CD player - do it justice.

i was told naim were no longer able to service the older cd's due to the fact that the cdn9 transport is no longer available

What exactly is involved in the refurb? I have a CDi and this is something that I would be interested in having done. Can anyone at Salisbury give some details?

Cheers

I think you'll find they still have a few refurbished transports but stocks must be getting low. Go to the official Naim website and get the email address from there.
