nait 3 with kan3 an absolute nobrainer!?

Hy there!i tried two things linn majik vs nait 3 and kan2vs kan3.
this is my experience.Kan2 with majik sounded
a little bit compressed compared to nait 3 and
kan2.But as often written in this forum kan 2 can be played better with bigger amps than nait
3.
kan 3 with majik was perfect and absolute perfect lifeless.(like driving a ferrari with 100 mph on a straight hiway in the fifth gear.)

kan3 with nait3 is an absolut no brainer.maybe
the point is that loudspeakers of today have
to be sold to everybody and are therefore easyer to play with small amps.the bass is there (kans 3are ported )and it is not slow(as expected.)what is most fascinating to me that
they work in my room perfect on kan2stands on
the exact place where my kan 2 stood. 7,5cm infront of wall. Big Grin
other intresting thing:I never had during my test(with kan 3) the feeling that majik has
more power than nait3.
my sources were rega p3 with goldring elite1
and my cambridge cd 6 player with 75ohm plug on
the digital bnc output. both sources nearby
same supersound. And it seems that my kans 2
will be soon for sale, because i do not want
to go the expensive upgrade way with bigger amps (but maybe i do not know what iam missing, and also there are alot of people in this forum who regretted their Kan sale.)

O.J. I think you are right. The Nait 3 + Kan 3 combination is a killer. Like you said the Kans have to be on Kan 2 stands, otherwise they sound bloated and slow. The combination can take quite a hefty front end and the music gets better with every improvement of the source. If you don't need more power, spend your money on the front end and buy lots of music.

Have fun!

Hy WIllem !
My question to you is if you know also older
Kans like the 2 and have maybe similar experiences like me,because as we talk in this forum about quite different systems it is sometimes helpful as a scala or benchmark if
different persons have the same point of view
about one special match (or mismatch)Amp/speaker.(and kans2 with big amps and hicaps i have not heared until now and do not
know if it is a way worth to go)
At the moment i have the feeling i won the lottery, but invested alot of time and money to get the right numbers. Wink
(and it s the first time i have the feeling
there is enough and fast power as they told me always
in the krell and levinsons datasheets Big Grin Big Grin Cool Wink

Sorry O.J., I've never heard Kan 1's or 2's. I wouldn't mind owning a pair though, but they are very hard to find where I live. Maybe us Europeans don't understand them. Most hifi-freaks in Holland put heavy stands underneath small speakers and place them as far from the rear wall as possible. If the sound is not to their liking, they add more weight to the stands...

Have fun!
