componentes on the NAIT5
Posted by: Robbert on 17 April 2004
I've a nait5 and i play with: PLANET(CD)/RADIO/TV cd=cd, radio=tuner, TV=aux2
Now i want connect a PHONO amp to aux1. The thing that i must do is disconnect TV out of aux2.
Where can i connect my TV without hearing the sound of the TV over CD or TUNER?
Isn't posible anymore, ony tape sourses? Or can i connect my phono on an other (tape)input.
I don't paly record every day but sometimes. I dont want to change the cables everytime at the back of the amp

What is wrong with using the tape and/ or aux 1 for the TV. Then use the unpowered aux 2 for a self powered phono stage.
Go to the "connection manuals" message at the top of the hifi corner list to see about the available connections on a NAIT 5.

I read it, but can not find my question.
Can i connect my phono pre-amp to an tape source?
Isn't it a problem like voltage ed. ?
The problem is is when i'm using an tape source for the TV. While i'm swiching to CD or RADIO, the sound of the TV is also playeing trew the sound of the CD/RADIO.
And when i'm playing a record i'm only playing a record and i will not switch to CD/RADIO

there are four stereo cinch inputs on the backside of your kit (not the din ones)
those inputs are electrical nearby equal.
you can put your phono preamp in everyone of them.
do not use cinch a n d din inputs at the same time and do n o t use tape output.
so:four sources and four inputs and you will only hear the one source you choose.

Sorry my Fault!
Whats your phono amp?
If its n o prefix and no stageline you can go
in every normal input(n o t that one that is specified in the manual for prefix and stageline use)

How about connecting up like this. YOu should have no problems with interference between different inputs. Just press the right number on the remote to switch between them. They are as follows:
1 = CD
2 = Radio
3 = Not used at present
4 = TV sound
5 = Phono Stage.
See attached drawing
Hope this makes it clear.

If you have prefix or stageline Manual will tell you how to connect exactly.

I solve the problem. I have change the standard cable for a Chord Cobra and the situation discibed here a bove is correct.
The problem is in the simple cable that i used for my TV.
I have not jet a phono amp butt i'm searching for a nice one. Butt before i buy a phono-amp i want to know how it works and how to connect.
Later on i will open the simple cable to look how it is constructed. It is this cable -> http://www1.correct.com/artikel.php?ZOEKNAAM=kabel&VOORRAADSOORT=A&SOORT=9803&KLASSE=20&ARTNR=6085&PHPSESSID=a64f08221146d05a4d9e18aed6e4bdf1

Hi Robbert,
As far as I remember the Chord naming convention goes source first: If the cable is DIN -> 2 RCA, it means the cable is for connecting a DIN source to an RCA amp. It may be the same for your Correct cable so the connections are wrong or the cable may not be "correct" at all.
Yaman
p.s. I am not able to read Dutch so I may be all wrong

I only want to show wich cable it is. see -> "Type DIN 5p>2xCINCH PLAY 1.50m (4101) "
Thats wierd he. Another guy told me that it could be the protection of that cable. Butt thought that it was the same as the chord cobra. But it wasn't
