NAIT5/HC/CD5i vs NAIT5/CD5/FC2

Who has the experiments with the combination what's in the title?

In what combination do i get the best sound?

I already did a demo with the nait5/CD5 - nait5/CD5/FC2 - nait5i/cd5i/cd5 - nait5/CDX2. The last one was very good but out of my budget so no CDX2 for me at this moment. I'm thinking of a CD5i and buy a secondhand HC. (i already have a nait5 Smile )
The nait5/CD5/FC2 was also very good. But with a HC i didn't have a demo.

Wereas i'm know that the HC can only feed one part of equipment. Wearas the FC2 can do 2 peaces.

Correct me if i'm wrong

I too have a Nait5/CD5. I went with the 5 over the 5i because I wanted vinyl and thus purchased an LP12 and a Stageline-thus the 5 so that it could also power the Stageline.

How much of a difference did the flatcap2 make during your demo on the Nait5/CD5? Some have said that it is a nice improvement however not a dramatic one. An advantage is that I could use it to power both the CD5 and he Nait- and hopefully the Stageline would also benefit.

My dealer has actually ventured to say that an even more powerful upgrade would be a Hicap on just the Nait. He said that EVERYTHING would benefit from this-both vinyl and CD playback.

The experients with the NAIT5/FC2 where the best. Than the CD5 comes with the NAIT5/FC2. That was not much difference.

So the step to ad a FC to the NAIT5 is big. That's why i think about the HC on the NAIT5 and CD will be CD5i

The HC could feed ONE apparatus? or also two like the FC2?

The Hicap can feed only one apparatus.
Did you do a demo of the Nait5/CD5-HC?...this could be the best option.
...at anyrate I would suggest to get a HC over a flatcap2 as you'll be able to use the HC when upgrading.

I've a NAIT5 and i'm thinking of buying a CD5i and than look for a HC. Instead of CD5 + FC2. Cost alot more Smile
