As a new member hi hope someone replies even if its just to say hallow.
After reading the article in Hi-Fi + concerning Vertex AQ used with a CDS3 ext I decided to purchase their Kinabalu Coupling System, I have.
CDX
NAC 82
Hi-Cap 2
NAP 180
And Linn Ninkas with their replacement bases much better than without (I know there not everybody’s cup of tea but I like them I hope to replace them in the distant future when funds permit and the systems better with SL2’s).
Next purchase an XPS 2
All on a Quadraspire Q4 Reference Table (can’t afford a Fraim at the moment).
The Kinabalu consists of 4 large sorbathane feet a polished granite slab, 2 decoupling supports and a Precision Coupling Tripod very sharp, the tripod is supposed to ground any vibration from ultra sonic through the audible range. First I listened to some music without, as you do. I knew it was going to make a difference but wow not as much, a lot of the graininess of CD receded, as they say in there blurb Rhythm, timing, dynamics, soundstaging the lot were improved well worth every Penney.
