Narcom 3 Remote???

After 6 weeks of waiting, I finally got my CDX2 around 2 hours ago. When the dealer opened the box, we both recognized the remote is different and from the manual, it said it is called Narcom 3. I didnt study carefully but anyone can enrich me of what is the major difference of 2 and 3? As I am using mine from the 202 and wondering if I should use the new one instead.

Wow, do you mean I've got a Narcom 3 and didn't even know it?
The difference, of course, being the "record" button on the top right-hand corner. Not that I know what the hell that does anyway.
By the way, mine came with a second-hand 18**** CDS2 which I bought about three weeks ago; although it was in original wrapping and appeared to be unused.

Hm, not the one shown on the pic. I got the right one with my 202. But the new one that came with the CDX2 is slimmer, buttons are almost the same (too busy enjoying music last night) but the size is obviously different. So, is that a Narcom 4????

am I the only one who prefer the old remote???
I like the simplicity of it.
The new one whatever is a nightmare to use and I hardly use it.

I think I heared that CDS3's come with the Narcom3, and the flash is extra? A friend got a CDS3, he got the Narcom, I got it from him

Interesting, my remote is different than either of the two in J.N.'s pics.
There are three buttons on the top row of mine, butthey are labeled cd, preamp, record.

That's what I thought also but apparently they stopped doing that. The thinking was that since they gave away a Flash with both the 52 and the CDS2, and most peolple would buy one if they bought the other, you'd end up with two of them. Anyway, they're more like a weapon than a remote so I'm not overly concerned about it.
