Let me try one more time... Does NAIT 5i powerful enough to drive ELAC 310 speakers? Thanks...

Hi all,

Thinking about getting NAIM 5i but afraid it is not powerful enough to drive ELAC 310 (4 ohm, 86 db). In ELAC's website, they suggest using amps with 50-150 W/channel. Has anyone heard this (similiar) setup before? Does NAIM 5i have enough juice to get 310 sing?

Thank you,
Ryan

YES MORE THAN ENOUGH

Thanks, Vik.

The wattage of an amp really confused me. By looking at the specs, it seems that the NAIT 5i's 50 watt is not enough to drive the ELAC 310 which requires 50~150 watt... I didn't have a chance to listen to this setup and probably won't have, since it is hard to find a store carries the two products in my country.

BTW, my room is about 17'x17'. Also, I noticed you are from Singapore. Is it expansive to buy NAIM in Singapore? I am thinking of buying my audio equipments in Hong Kong. I heard it is cheaper there.
