I only own two! What have I missed the past decade?
Posted on: 15 April 2004 by Simon Perry
Yep all them plus/ in particular

Natural Born Killers
Ravenous
Rushmore
Solaris
The Royal Tenenbaums
Pie
Requiem for a Dream
Twin Peaks fire walk with me
Lost Highway
Blade Runner
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction

But my favourites are Lost in Translation, 28 Days Later (which I have AG to thank for) Natural Born Killers (possibly the ultimate soundtrack, thank you Trent Reznor), Ravenous, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums.

By the way Ludders, what are the two that you own.

One from the Heart - Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle

This has just been remastered and re-released. It's the soundtrack to the 1982 Francis Ford Coppola film. The soundtrack is very song based, all written by Tom Waits, and featuring mainly lounge style ballads. The thing that really makes this special is the contrast and interplay between Tom's gravel voiced mutterings and Crystal's sweet pure and smooth delivery. Highly recommended.

The sea hawk-Krongold? Zulu -John Barry all three LOTR soundtracks -Howard shaw, although the sound quality gets worse with each film! and possibly Quadraphinia The Who ,play it as loud as your system will go!

I'm with Greeny (so to speak). One From The Heart - great stuff!

Hard to find, but I love the soundtrack to Andi Engel's film Melancholia - music by erstwhile Derek Jarman collaborator Simon Fisher Turner.

You get some reverb-heavy piano and guitar pieces, phone noises, the sound of Derek Jarman's kettle boiling (!) and, of course, Tilda Swinton speaking poetry over Debussy-esque swirls. Mmmm...
