Hi I have tried numerous times to upload a pic but with no success. The best I have come up with was 50k and the size of a postage stamp.I understand 50k is the maximum so how do I make the pic bigger? I have Adobe photoshop and have no problems putting pics on Ebay. Please help?

It's the file size that matters, not the dimensions. Photoshop must have an option such as 'save for the web' or 'compress jpeg' or a way to reduce the resolution and restrict the pallete to the number of colours actually used. Unless you have a need for a serious industrial strength image package you might be better off with an easy to use one like Paint Shop Pro or similar.

An easy way to to do basic manipulation of image files is to use PMVIEW
download it from
www.PMVIEW.com
Install it on your machine,
Then open up PMVIEW - go to
File Open and select the directory (or folder) where the image files are located.
A light table of icons will open showing the images in the folder. (Note you can change the size of the icon (or Thumbnail) of the image by right clicking the mouse on the background of the light table.
For the picture that you want to work on select it with the mouse cursor and double click on it.
Depending on the image size and your screen resolution the whole image will all be visible or not - you can set preferances so that the image always opens to fill the screen.
Now go to Transform Size Custom and scale down the image (ensure that the Keep proportional tick box is selected) so that the largest size is aprox 500 pixels (this is to conform with the MATROB image view standards.)
The image will shrink on the screen
Then go
File
SAve AS
select file type of JPEG and add a suffix to the file name (this is to avoid overwriting your original image with the changed image)
Then select options in the save as panel and set the quality value to say 75%
and press the save button
Check to see the image size on the panel below the image - if it is greater than 50k then repeat the Save As bit (but using the same adjusted name with a smaller quality %age) repeat until you get the file size to be below 50k
Then you should be able to upload the image to the forum.
Using PMVIEW does not preclude you from using Photoshop - however it is a good tool for the quick view of lots of images and doing basic work on the image. It complements the more advanced tools and is a very good image format converter.
Enjoy

After the specified time you will get nag screens to get you to register but you should still be able to use it.
I hope that you do get to explore and see the benefit of PMVIEW and decide to register it - it is quite cheap and very good
Why do I suggest that
I have registered it my self and have had good support from Peter Neilsen the author - I have been using it for nearly 10 years.
