Irrespective of wether they recognise British Law and Empire or not, the wankers who got caught abusing women/girls in Pitcairn deserve, and should serve the sentences given. A wholly 'Jehova's Witness' community for some thirty years plus, should be even more aware than us plebs of such human rights abuse/ crime, and their appeal's presently being run down Deann's way should be duly dealt with if found guilty with the full force of the Judiciery. I find their argument pure HYPOCRCY² as they know very well what wrongdoing means, like so many others they wine when they get caught, throw the book at the bastards and sort out the pseudo -psychological debate, like all of our precious ? communities, they're only as good as the folk in them (that never previously existed before tax payers money came to the fore in abundance, nothing new there then !) afterwards in New Zealand's gutter press, innit.

Fritz Von Somebody called me a fascist last night (seriously & first time ever as I said I would carry out self justice if somebody drink driving etc (not fist time) killed somebody I loved, in other words I'd be prepared to go to jail for my actions, I must admit I was suprised as quite a few other folk didn't agree with me, (nothing new there then) .

It seemd Prince Arry and I will never be allowed to be ourselves, innit ! and will our Mat take over from Alan greenspan, or will Rupert Murder want to do it on a part time basis ? It did; as a final pointer occur to my tiny mind that like Chaucer, wouldn't it be intersting if the Pitcairn Islands were Islamic orientated, certain people might even pray for one o'they big waves ? When Iran & China get it together will our George be so Gobshitey, or will he intimidate Syria instead, N.Korea is out of the question as even in a conventional punchup millions would die, it's just a 38th I suppose ? I have got absolutely no objection to your continued membership BF. I enjoy your contributions to this forum although I don't understand what you're talking about most of the time.

Fritz Von I recieved a load of DSL hardware yesterday for my new high speed connection, and I haven't got a scoobie doo, so I reckon I'll need to rent an engineer for an hour or ten to sort it. Smile

The Pitcairn trials did raise some interesting legal questions.

However, I think the appeal you mention, Fritz, is to the Privy Council in London and it questions whether the territory of Pitcairn Island is within the British jurisdiction.

Its expected to fail, from what I've read. I don't get uptight about such things because I'd expect my defence counsel to do exactly the same thing in the circumstances. Besides that, if a conviction is rigorously challenged but still holds it can be seen to be even more secure.
