What was your experience of selling on Ebay like?

I have bought items via Ebay (but not hi-fi kit) and will also want to replace a CD5 later this year. Could I reasonably ask for "Cash sale only, buyer collects?"

I have used ebay a few times to sell Hi-Fi and have not had any problems. I try to remain in control of the transaction at all times. Tell them you will send when cheques clears etc. Cash on delivery can work. Some people try to twist this saying that you send the item and they will pay a delivery driver. Don't go there. If they want to pay cash then they come to you.

I have said that people can transfer the funds into my account and that seems to work. You get the money quicker and at the end of the day they get what they paid for quicker.
