How about a "sticky" for constructive suggestions, improvements or extra facilities.
Good news on the editing front though.(Adam see also helmet thread.

Good idea.
Lets kick off with the facility to email other members directly.
No need to worry about spam - you just set up a web-based email account just for the forum.

An ignore function. Very useful in other fora.
Nothing personal.

Does the ignore function make certain people's posts just disappear leaving all the responses to them by other members intact?
If so it is rather pointless, imho. It's much easier just to, er, ignore them.
I think we can well do without these rude functions.

Yes it does Steve. And yes they do. I didn't see the point for a long time but it has proved useful from time to time. I'm sure those who don't find it useful don't use it.

A Glossery of HI-FI Terms would assist people like myself who are not technically minded to understand some of the jargon tossed around in Hi-Fi Corner. HI-FI CHOICE used to print a useful page of definitions etc. which were beneficial to a newcomer to the hobby. This could be the property of forum members being built up from their suggestions with the Administrator keeping his/her friendly eye on things.

I repeat my request for more smilies.
A good blushing smiley is an absolute must in Modern Ingerlish forum communication. (Or lack thereof) The "red face" is much too like rage IMHO.
I'm also rather partial to a decent clown smiley when all feigned attempts at prostration and apology fail to convey one's undisguised contempt. It has the unique virtue of complete ambiguity.

I wish Mr. Whetstone would stop posting "funnny" videos. He's just zapped up some of my 6gb monthly broadband allocation.
