Hicap or supercap for NAC 102 to 82

Hi,

Im looking at upgrading my 102 to an 82 in the near future... I know the supercap is the better one to go for, but will this work with my current 102 and more importantly, the new 82 when I get it?

with the supercap you can power both the audio section and the switching section of the NAC102 via a SLIC cable. Skip the 82 and go straight to the 52 or 252. I am currently use a NAC102 power by a supercap and very happy with it.

The 102 will not come close to fully exploiting the supercap; neither will the 82. So if you're a person who is irked by unused and unusable circuitry, don't get a supercap until you get a 52/252.

But if you appreciate music and sound, I suspect you'll find a 102/supercap to be a very creditable choice. Many will prefer a 102/s'cap to an 82/hicap; some will prefer a 32.5 or 72 + s'cap to an 82/hi.
