Chord Cobra Questions
Posted by: Greg Beatty on 23 April 2004
My source components are hooked up to a Nait 5 via three Chord Cobra interconnects. A few questions, if I may.
In the Chord line, where do the Cobra cables rate? Naim USA lists the Cobra 2.
I examined the cables and they have a triangle printed on them. Does the direction the triangle is pointing correspond to the direction the signal should go?
If these cables are run backwards, what is the effect?
Next, I have two pinkish cables with four RCA's at one end and one blue/green cable with two RCA's at one end. All cables have a DIN at the other end. Is there any negative consequence using cables with four RCAs when only two RCAs are being used? I have noticed that if an unused RCA touches another component, I can get a buzz though the speakers.
I examined the cables and did not find model numbers stamped on them, although I did not inspect the full length of the cables (I examined them in situ).
All help appreciated.
