just been reading some of these.
some great advice.
can't help but notice there is a bit of unplesantness about.
so i would like to say come on people this is a hi fi forum don't take things too serious and you will all get along a lot better.
some of these pointless go no-where threads seem to have 50 plus posts and most of them are bickering and have little too do with the topic that was started.

Well green is my favourite colour, since you ask, you bastard.
Only joking!!!
I quite agree. But 'tis the way of a healthy discussion board and always happens.
I have vehemently resisted getting involved in the Iraq thread (which now seems to be a battle about the intractable Israel/Palestine problem), but at least it hasn't yet degenerated to the "anti-semitic" claims that every other similar discussion usually becomes. So we're clearly a superior quality of people, and hooray for that.
All the best

Mike,
I am going for the 82 (assuming you are the Mike Lacey on Pink Fish, otherwise you'll think I'm mad). Your superior choice of favourite colour was, naturally, the clincher...
Minime, I apologise for hijacking your thread with the weak favourite colour joke. Although it is a difficult subject to keep strictly "on topic"
People who have blue as their preferred hue are cold and heartless and have no right to comment on pizza, Iraq, hi-fi or anything else. IMHO (!) of course.

Sorry, but you are all wrong, it's Beige, on Stands Unique through Nordost speaker cable into Linn Ninkas.
If you haven't looked at colours through this combination then you just haven't seen them properly.

You're quite right guys. I'm probably the worst offender of late, bit like a dog with a bone with some of these threads. To be honest I'm starting to bore the arse of m'self
I'll endeavour to ease up.

The only thing more predictable and pointless than "bickering" in online discussions are the occasional "Why can't we all just get along" threads. However well intentioned such suggestions might be they have zero effect.
Personal abuse is wrong, almost always contravenes the relavent T&Cs and is usually subject to moderation and ultimately banning.
Bickering, excessive pedantry, tedious never-ending squabbles, mickey taking, momentary losses of reason, inappropriate comments in the "heat of battle", belated apologies, trolling, fake identities, grown men behaving like children, etc., etc. are all inherently part of online discussions. If you get rid of such things I promise you it will be very boring.
However, take heart that the long awaited Daily Mail website launches next week and no doubt will provide endless amusement. In the meantime why not take advnatage of some online healing via Femail's "Healing Trial #6" at http://tinyurl.com/33vzu and then compare your experiences with others in the feedback thread at http://tinyurl.com/2f2dl

Don't you mean Joni Mitchell?
Besides, since practically every car I have ever owned over the years have been various shades of blue, it's obvious, is it not, that blue is THE colour, and none of that other wishy-washy stuff.
Kind regards,

Green v. blue, eh? This is all sounding very familiar to a Glasgow boy.
And it's green. And white. In a hooped pattern. Hail hail...

Did you know that
"David Slater" is an anagram of
"not really sure what anagrams are all about, but maybe being ironic, it's hard to tell"
Joke for Davie Bhoyo:
Q. What's the difference between an apple and an orange?
A. There's no such thing as an apple bastard

Can anyone of you kind folk out there please tell me why, when I respond to a post, I always get the edit or delete icon, whereas everyone else only has the reply with quote and report this post icons.
I know I'm going to kick myself when the answer is posted and can only plead old age in mitigation. It must be all the hours spent underwater in my younger days.
Thanks.

Prepare to kick...
You can only edit or delete your own posts.
I can't help thinking the Iraq thread would be a fair bit shorter if people could delete the posts of others...although probably much funnier if they could edit them.

I think that would be a dreadful idea, Rod, although not entirely without merit...
