just been reading some of these.
some great advice.
can't help but notice there is a bit of unplesantness about.
so i would like to say come on people this is a hi fi forum don't take things too serious and you will all get along a lot better.
some of these pointless go no-where threads seem to have 50 plus posts and most of them are bickering and have little too do with the topic that was started.

Can anyone of you kind folk out there please tell me why, when I respond to a post, I always get the edit or delete icon, whereas everyone else only has the reply with quote and report this post icons.
I know I'm going to kick myself when the answer is posted and can only plead old age in mitigation. It must be all the hours spent underwater in my younger days.

You can only edit or delete your own posts.
I can't help thinking the Iraq thread would be a fair bit shorter if people could delete the posts of others...although probably much funnier if they could edit them.

I think that would be a dreadful idea, Rod, although not entirely without merit...
