hi all

ive recently had an extra sky box in stalled in one of the kids bedrooms
now the problem is when they are watching sky upstairs and i am watching anything thru the av input ( unity gain) i can here thru my speakers what they are watching, its not clear as day but its audibly there( the louder they have it the louder it gets)

also noticed on av2 in dd mode if i turn volume right down i still get a low sound coming from rear right speaker ( of whatever is playing)

any advice on any solutions please

regards neil

Neil,

Have you moved the rear connections into the AV2 around since you added the Sky box ? What phono inputs in the rear of the AV2 do you have connections going into ?

I had an exactly similar problem when I put my AV2 back in to my stereo after it had been away for the firmware update.

I had made a mistake of plugging the TV into the Tape In sockets, which are just right next to the Input6 I had meant to plug them into.

This causes the exact problems you seem to be mentioning.

its not that connection ( wished it was ) my sky is connected into analogue input 4

its sky+ in my system if that makes any difference, and normal sky upstairs

When I first bought my 72/180 I sold my old Exposure to a mate at work. About a week later his girlfriend was complaining about all the random noise coming out of the speakers. Turned out they were living above a taxi firm and the amp was picking up transmissions from the big mast on the roof. I suspect that this is probably what is happening with the sky boxes.
