Buying Naim Gear In Israel ?

Posted by: Berlin Fritz on 09 July 2004

Ayre, My friend,
As I've said before, you, and maybe just a couple of others on
this Forum are actually a native(s) of your own country, with english as (I
assume(?) your second language, unlike the majority of Yanks, Canadans from
Canadia, Limey Bastards, and Aussies/Kiwis alike, (Oh and Mick, Mathew & Myself
of course who seem to be difficult to catagorise ?)and I wish personally there
were many more of you, but that's another matter. Not wishing to hijack the Naim
Forum question thread for Political one-upmanship/discussion, or rather banging
my head against a brick wall, I felt I must just say this (once again) for you
to understand that Israel like little inger-land, are not the only countries on
this beautiful planet of ours.
Your recent comment about seeing the truth in
Israel was put in the wrong place, because it belongs here, and on threads
passim, I know you will need help with getting the jist of this langauge of
mine, but I think it better to be concise rather than basic, so after time with
a little help from your friends, you'll get by, I remind you of Haifa
University's brilliant English Dept, unless of course you were refering to the
truth of buying Naim Hi Fi equipement in Israel, in contrast to the cheaper
better deals to be had over the security fence in Palestinian territory ? Like
you I sometimes like to swim against the tide, and to be honest I have no excuse
because my native language is english, but I honestly think a large group of
good people on this forum are sick of both my and your rantings (I can hear the
applause from here).
Living for many years directly next to the Berlin Wall (25
Meters) I often wondered to myself why so few gravestones were lined along my
neighbourhood paths, those of yopung women & boys, and desperate stupid people
trying to excape the decadent west into the utopia of next door? I am not
(repeat not) beimng sarcastic, I watch both Palestinian & Israeli tv regularly,
or Israeli & Palestinian tv if you prefer ? Banging your heads against a brick
wall, and now you really have one to actually bang your heads against. I was
recently talking to some Israeli's here in Berlin (no names) and they were
terrified to even criticise your country (maybe it was me ?) but I knew threy
wanted to say Oh so much more ! please no lectures about how free and democratic
you all are, that's a truth as well my friend, a real one.
I am of course happy
that this security fence (I'd like to know what you call a wall ?) will save
many innocent lives, and in the great wise words of former British Prime
Ministers, Benjamin Disraeli & Margaret Thatcher, "They are living in cloud
Cuckoo land"
Cheers old mate, and I hope to hear fdrom you soon, unless of course
the powers that be at Naim HQ consider us bad for business ? I think not.

Fritz Von http://www.msdivine.net/alexeisayle/alexeisayle.htm this is really a
great Liverpudlian Jew with attitude, read and learn my friend, innit. Razz

Graham

You rant about more than one issue and I suspect can see both sides of an argument. Plus you have read A Pictorial History of Gargling" ( a Very Great Work. )

Rant on matey.

Ayre old Chap,
You see how long it takes to buy decent Hi Fi gear on the other side of the security fence, I mean no one in their right mind would pay the real Haifa+ prices, when the same thing can be had in the first world so much cheaper, innit.

Is this right? I thought the phrase was coined by Rommel in reference to the figment of Hitler's imagination that was (supposed) to be the "Atlantic Wall" along the northern French coast.

Somebody set me straight. I can't recall the exact phrase now.

Justin or just our my friend, you are possibly mixing french toast with Cpl Carpetchewer, attributed to earlier strange habits of the dark haired, vegetarian, foreign one, innit.

Fritz Von Nexteuropeancupfinalinvienna or Wien as they say heare (small sausages in the States I believe ? Berlin World Cup Final 2006 exactly 40 years after 66 : Germany - England, two years later Vienna, sound's like a song doesn't it ?

P.S. Mathew never answered my BBC question, and he didin't comment about the English 36 squad all doing the Nazi salute, check it out I am not bullshitting: ( for once) cheers, Cleveland, anyway.

Per usual, I don't have clue what you have said. But I looked it up in my "archives" and indeed Rommel is quoted to have said (on more than one occasion) that the coastal defenses were a "figment of Hitler's Wolkenkuckkucksheim" which is translated "cloud cuckoo land".

Lots of luck with the new job Arye, maybe after awhile you can hopefully afford to buy some lovely new Naim equipment to enhance your life with brilliant musical sounds ?

I think Aristophanes pre-dates either Rommel or Margaret Thatcher. Could be the Birds.

An explanation.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table
David Hume could out-consume
Schopenhauer and Hegel
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as sloshed as Schlegel
There's nothing Nietszche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist
Socrates himself was permanently pissed

There's nothing Nietszche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist
Socrates himself was permanently pissed
John Stuart Mill of his own free will
On half a pint of shandy was particularly ill
Plato they say could stick it away
Half a crate of whiskey every day
Aristotle, Aristotle was a buggar for the bottle
Hobbes was fond of his Dram
And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart
"I drink, therefore I am !"
Yes Socrates himself is particularly missed
A lovely little thinker
But a bugger when he's pissed
